The pond counts from the Dakotas and Canada are in and the USFWS has approved a liberal season for bag limits. So bag limits will remain the same. The Nebraska waterfowl seasons won't be set until late August. Nebraska did approve an early goose season for the Omaha and Lincoln area to reduce the population of resident geese. Water conditions across much of Nebraska have improved since last year. Most of the marshes in the Rainwater Basin have water in them and the Platte still has water. As long as the rains keep coming we should have plenty of water to hold birds as compared to last year.
